About Memo Pearls
Not every journey begins with a plan.
Mine began with a fresh start.
After moving to Monterrey, Nuevo León, I found the freedom to fully embrace who I was while immersing myself in a vibrant LGBTQ+ community and nightlife scene. Long before I ever touched a pair of DJ decks, I was a devoted fan of electronic music, traveling to festivals and events whenever I could. I stood in crowds watching artists perform on massive stages, never imagining that one day I would be the person behind the booth. For a young gay Mexican kid chasing what felt like impossible dreams, the idea seemed unreal. But those dance floors sparked something in me. They showed me the power music has to unite people, create community, and make strangers feel connected through a shared moment.
Then the world stopped.
When COVID brought nightlife, festivals, and live events to a halt, I found myself missing the thing that had inspired me for years: the dance floor. Looking back, I honestly don’t know if I would have ever become a DJ if it hadn’t been for that moment.
Instead of simply attending events, I became curious about what happened behind the decks.
That curiosity led me to House of DJ in San Pedro Garza García, where I learned the foundations of mixing and beat matching. What began as a way to stay connected to the music I loved quickly became an obsession. For the next year, I spent countless hours practicing as a bedroom DJ, studying tracks, building playlists, and developing the sound that would eventually become my own.
In early 2022, while scrolling social media, I saw an announcement for a new venue preparing to open in Puerto Vallarta: STUDS Bear & Leather Bar.
The venue hadn’t even opened yet.
I sent a message anyway.
A few months later, during the bar’s second week of operation, I was given my first professional DJ booking. I remember arriving nervous and uncertain, hoping for the opportunity to simply prove myself.
By the end of the night, they asked me to come back.
That single night changed my life.
What began as one opportunity quickly became a residency. Four years later, I am proud to continue serving as Resident DJ at STUDS Bear & Leather Bar, one of Puerto Vallarta’s most recognized LGBTQ+ nightlife destinations.
From there, opportunities began arriving faster than I ever imagined. Invitations came from events and organizations across Mexico, including Hallowoof in Monterrey, BEARADISE International Bear Festival in Puerto Vallarta, BearMex in Mexico City, French Fried, Boreal, and numerous clubs, festivals, and community events throughout the country.
Then came the phone call that truly changed everything: Banamex Pride.
Receiving that opportunity confirmed what I had begun to feel after my very first night at STUDS—music was no longer just a hobby. It was becoming my career.
Today, 2026 marks my fourth consecutive year performing as part of the Banamex Pride celebrations across Monterrey, Guadalajara, and Mexico City. Along the way, I have also been recognized as a three-time finalist for Best DJ of Puerto Vallarta, a reflection of the support I have received from the community and audiences that have helped shape my journey.
Beyond the DJ booth, I am the founder of The Door, a platform dedicated to showcasing DJs, artists, musicians, and creators through professionally produced music sessions and collaborative projects. The Door was built on a simple belief: that storytelling through music, art, and dance have the power to bring people together and create something bigger than ourselves.
My sound is rooted in dark dance music, indie dance, techno, tech house, afro house, and underground electronic music. Whether performing at a Pride festival, an intimate club night, a destination event, or a creative project through The Door, I strive to create experiences that are energetic, emotional, and unforgettable.
Puerto Vallarta is home, but my journey is far from over.
I continue to travel, perform, and share my music with new audiences around the world, always chasing the same feeling that inspired me from the beginning—the connection that happens when the right song meets the right crowd at exactly the right moment.
Because music didn’t just give me a career.
It gave me a community, a purpose, and a life I never imagined possible.
